Transportation is available to seniors over the age of 60 and disabled individuals to medical appointments. The Township has scheduled routes to Elgin, St. Charles, Huntley, Sycamore and Marengo. For more information contact: Maureen at 224-828-0446

General Assistance:

General Assistance is a welfare program which provides monthly financial assistance to persons who are not eligible for any other State or Federal assistance programs, and who do not have adequate income or resources to provide for their own basic needs.

Lending Closet: The Township has a lending closet of used medical equipment, that is available for use by Township
residents.  Common items that are available are:  Walkers, Wheel chairs, Crutches, Commodes,
Lift Recliners,     Scooters, Shower Seats, Etc.

Building Rental:
The Hampshire Township recognized that the community was lacking a gathering place available to its residents.
In 2012, the Township built a community building that also houses its administration offices. The primary purpose of the
building is for the public, and we have kept our rates reasonable for that reason.
Seniors on the Go:
Seniors on the Go is a group of Seniors (age 60 or older) or disabled persons that live in Hampshire Township
or the surrounding communities. There is no cost to be a member (certain events may have a fee)!
The group meets throughout the month to join in fun, socialization and fellowship, and we always welcome new faces!
Please see the calendar of events and join us soon.  Transportation is available for Hampshire residents if you call ahead.
Please contact us at 224-828-0303 to arrange transportation or sign up for an event.  We look forward to meeting you!
